This Vegan Jalapeno Cheddar Artisan Bread is packed with bold flavors, featuring a spicy kick from jalapenos and creamy vegan cheddar. Perfectly crusty on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside, this no-knead artisan bread is easy to make and 100% plant-based.

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 cup vegan cheddar (shredded, e.g., Violife or Daiya)
- 2 jalapenos (chopped, fresh or pickled)
- Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, or 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and yeast. Add the warm water and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the vegan cheddar and chopped jalapenos until evenly distributed.
- Cover the bowl with a clean towel or plastic wrap and let the dough rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) with a Dutch oven inside.
- Lightly flour a surface, shape the dough into a round loaf, and place it on parchment paper.
- Carefully place the dough (with parchment paper) into the preheated Dutch oven. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool the bread on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
- Serve and enjoy!

- Adjust the spice level by removing or keeping jalapeno seeds.
- Use pickled jalapenos for a tangy twist.
